Remember that customers don’t care about your ideas;
they care about whether you can solve their problems
— Noah Kagan, Million Dollar Weekend
Hello! I am Surabhi 👋
I am a Design Generalist curious about how people think, act, and adapt to an experience (digital or real) and the roles technology and environment can have in influencing their decisions.
FIGURING OUT — CHILDHOOD
As a kid, I was the quintessential solo player - I thrived on activities that involved doing them on my own be it writing, creating or public speaking.
Given my interest for science and imagination, I always thought I’d become an astronaut or physicist—something serious!
But life took a detour into engineering and the more I tried to fit into that mold, the more I realized that my true passion lay elsewhere..
GENERALIST AT HEART
After graduation, I found my way into content creation and digital marketing. But it was in design where I finally felt at home though I enjoyed marketing and writing.
Starting with graphic design and evolving into a product designer, I discovered that this field lets me blend my love for creativity and problem solving, firing both sides of my brain!
CAN HAVE THE CAKE AND EAT IT TOO
I'm also a part-time food photographer. I began as a Freelancer for Swiggy, and since then I’ve helped put 40+ brands on the map of popular delivery apps.
Freelancing lets me indulge in my love for styling, and editing. As an introvert, it helps me get out of my comfort zone occasionally.
SLOWING DOWN IN A FAST PACED WORLD
Beyond work, I’m most at ease when life slows down.
Meditation, writing, trekking, and quiet moments spent listening to music or walking in nature help me recharge. It’s in these moments of solitude and reflection that my best ideas come to life.
Thank you for following along!
